Harrison started his racing career at the age of 10, racing quarter midgets. He successfully raced quarter midgets for 4 years and had many wins and top 3 finishes in the process.
In December of 2007, Harrison started racing legends cars with Dan Snyder Racing. In Harrison’s first year of racing legends, he had 4 wins and he finished 7th in the points standings at the Summer Shootout. In his second year of legends competition, Harrison won 33 feature races. He also won the Concord Speedway Track Championship, the North Carolina State Points, and he finished 2nd in the National Points Standings.
In 2010, Harrison began racing in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series in a Late Model Stock Car. In the season, Harrison was awarded the Caraway Speedway Rookie of the Year Award. He also was the youngest racer to compete in the prestigious Martinsville Speedway race and the 250 lap Myrtle Beach 400 event.
In 2011, Harrison raced in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series and in the UARA Late Model Series. He finished with one win at Tri-County Motor Speedway and many top fives at Motor Mile Speedway.
In 2012, Harrison raced selected races in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, NASCAR Whelen All American Series, and CARS Pro Cup Series. With five starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (1 top 5 finish and 2 top 10 finishes) Harrison was on his way to furthering his career as a NASCAR Driver.
In 2013, Harrison stepped into a whole new world of racing, the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He competed in seven events with races at: Phoenix International Raceway, Darlington Raceway, Dover International Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, and Chicagoland Speedway. The NASCAR Nationwide Series is home to some of the biggest names in racing such as Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, and Kasey Kahne just to name a few. The competition level is fierce and requires a significant amount of funding in order to be competitive.
In 2014, Harrison began the year with a valiant effort at Daytona International Speedway with a qualifying effort of 15th place. Harrison also made starts at the following tracks throughout the year: Charlotte Motor Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, and Dover International Speedway.
In 2015, Harrison began his first full season with JD Motorsports in the #0 Chevrolet. He had a great season scoring his best finish to date of 9th at Daytona International Speedway where he also gained the Rookie of the Race Award. Final stats for the year were 1 top 10, 10 top 25’s, and 24th in drivers points throughout his 29 races. Harrison also gained a large amount of publicity with his partnership and collaboration with NC State University, which he currently attends.
